45th Pan Music Festival 2017 Guidelines

 

 

ISCM Korea is pleased to announce the 45th Pan Music Festival 2017. The annual festival endeavour to introduce recent contemporary music and to invite composers and performers to listen their music and works. The festival is a great occasion to meet and communicate with all musicians including living composers. In order to enhance the musical interchange between all ISCM, we propose to open our music festival to uphold the work of any ISCM members in the world.

 

 

1. Guideline

 

Duration: Approx. 10 minutes

Eligibility: Members of ISCM

Work: Either world premiere or performed (preference for premiere)

 

 


Instrumentation: please see Categories

         *Category 4 is for 2nd ACC International Music Festival cooperating with Pan Music Festival. It will be held on September 23 in ACC, Gwangju.

Text Box: Category 1	Daegeum, Haegeum, 2 Gayageum, Piano, Percussions
One Percussionist: Snare drum, Suspended cymbal, Wind chime, 2 Bongos, Wood Block, Rain stick. 
Jung Joo (like metal bowl), Jing (like small gong)	2-6 any combination,
but it must include 
At least one of Korean instruments: Daegeum, Haegeum, Gayageum.
Category 2	Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Cello, Piano	1-5 any combination
Category 3	Cembalo, Recorder, Viola, Cello, Guitar	3-5 any combination
Category 4	1Flute (incl. Alto Fl.) 1Clarinet (incl. Bass Clarinet), 1Horn, 1Trombone, Piano, 4 Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Cellos, 1 Contrabass, 
1 Percussionist (gong, tam-tam, marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, bass drum, snare drum, wood blocks, temple blocks, claves, maracas, wind chime, bongos)
	8-15 any combination

Announcement to accepted composers: Early July, but schedule can be changed.

 

Deadline: June 4th, 2017.

Score (PDF file) *INCLUDE Composers name on the score.

Picture of composer (JPG file)

Audio File (preferred), Midi or Video file also acceptable.

 

 

*Please submit all submissions as one ZIP file (Category Number_Composer Name)
